Advent Walk with Barbara
Discover the magic of Advent in Opatija.
During a leisurely walk, Barbara will guide you to some of the most beautiful Advent locations in the town. Twinkling lights, festively decorated parks, historic villas and the sea create a truly special atmosphere.
Along the way, you will hear fascinating stories and interesting facts about Opatija while enjoying the unique Advent ambience of the Kvarner region. There will, of course, also be time to enjoy a cup of mulled wine or punch and share a special festive moment together.

A Special Advent Weekend
5 December 2026, 12:00 noon – Kukali
Experience a piece of authentic Opatija tradition! For many years, the Kukali have upheld the tradition of winter swimming in the sea, symbolising joie de vivre, togetherness and the invigorating power of the sea, even on the coldest winter days. Accompanied by the sounds of traditional Klapa singing, they bring a special touch of the Kvarner way of life to Advent at Miramar.

6 December 2026, 19:30–21:30 – Colors & Glasses of Advent
We invite you to a creative Advent evening in the Habsburg Bar with Jelena Cetinja Vukelić, Master of Arts.
In a cosy festive atmosphere, you will have the opportunity to take part in a creative workshop and make your own unique Christmas gift for someone special. Participation in the workshop is available at an additional charge of €25.00 per person. Advance registration is required.
 

In between the festivities, there is plenty of time to enjoy what makes this season so special: relaxing wellness moments, sauna rituals according to the daily programme, culinary delights, long walks by the sea and the enchanting Advent atmosphere of Opatija.
