Cancellation conditions
Reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival.
- 14 days to 7 days before arrival 50 % cancellation fee
- 7 days to 1 day before arrival 80 % cancellation fee
- No show 100 % cancellation fee
In the event of early departure, the entire reservation period will be charged.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance:

- 45 days to 30 days before arrival 50 % cancellation fee
- 30 days to 14 days before arrival 80 % cancellation fee
- 14 days to no show 90 % cancellation fee
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance (www.europaeische.at) or check whether your credit cards include cancellation cover or whether you have annual travel cancellation insurance.
As it is not as easy to sell rooms at short notice during the festive season as in other seasons and also due to the current situation, it is advisable to plan ahead in this respect. We always try to be as flexible as possible and resell rooms or keep a waiting list, but we also have a planning and preparation effort that we have to secure to a certain extent.
Important information on entry / means of payment
We are happy to accept cash (euros), credit cards (VISA and MASTERCARD) and debit cards (D, A) on site.
Arrival/Departure
Your reserved room is ready for occupancy from 2 pm on the day of arrival. We ask you to vacate your room by 10.30 am on the day of departure. You can use the hotel facilities (pool, sunbathing lawn, wellness area) all day on both the day of arrival and the day of departure.
ENTRY REGULATIONS
Croatia has been a member of the Schengen zone since January 1, 2023. Regular checks on persons at the internal land and sea borders with other countries in the Schengen area have therefore been lifted. A valid passport or identity card
must still be carried
Early departure
If you have to cancel your vacation prematurely, you will be charged the total amount of the originally booked stay as well as the services included but not used.
Pets
Small dogs are generally allowed at the Miramar. However, please understand that their stay is limited to the room. They are not allowed in the restaurant, on the restaurant terraces, on the sunbathing lawns, in the wellness and pool area, in the gardens or on the beach. Furthermore, dogs are not allowed to swim on the public beaches or the Lungomare in Opatija.
The cleaning fee for dogs is € 20 per day (without food).
Hotel opening hours
The Miramar is open from the beginning of March to the beginning of January. Please refer to the price list for the current season.
Internet
You can use the internet in the hotel as follows: Free Internet - WLan (WiFi) in the hotel lobby, library and in every room. Download general information about WiFi use in the hotel.
Smoking
Since May 6, 2009, smoking has been banned in all public buildingsin Croatia, including hotels, restaurants and bars.
Furthermore, the upper, middle restaurant terrace and the winter garden terrace in our hotel are smoke-free. Smoking is of course permitted on all other outdoor terraces and in the open air.
Miscellaneous
Deviations from program items, price changes, seasonal or weather-related changes or cancellations of in-house events or third-party services, deviating opening or closing of restaurants and bars are possible. Errors and misprints excepted.
