In order to make your vacation with us as pleasant as possible, we have summarized the most important information about your stay at the HOTEL MIRAMAR, OPATIJA.

What time is check in / check out?

Your room is ready for you from 2 p.m.. However, on the day of arrival you are free to come earlier and use all hotel facilities (garage, wellness, beach, etc.) before 2 p.m.  Check out is till 10:30, but you can use all the facilities for the rest of the day (incl. garage, beach etc.)

Are bathrobes and slippers available?

A bathrobe and slippers await you in your room.

What is the pet policy in hotel?

Generally, pets are allowed in hotel, but please note and thank you for your understanding, that the stay of pets is limited to the hotel room only. It is not allowed to stay with a pet in the restaurant, restaurant terraces, on the lawn with deck chairs, on the beach, in the wellness or pool area, as well as in the hotel garden. It is also important to know that dogs are not allowed to swim on public beaches along the Lungo mare promenade.

Surcharge for cleaning if your dog stays with you in the hotel is 152, - kn (20, - €) and is brought only for cleaning, does not include food.

What can I do in case of illness during my stay in hotel?

There is a tourist ambulance in Opatija for all the visitors. In case of need, we can organize the arrival of a general practitioner with a surcharge for a home visit. Emergency hospitals are located in Rijeka, only ca. 14 kilometers from hotel. Also, there are several top dental clinics nearby.

Rent a car

If you wish to rent a car, please contact the reception staff. You will need a credit card and a driver's license to sign the rental agreement. The rented car will be brought to the hotel by the agency, and the return is just as easy - you park the car in the hotel garage and hand over the key at the reception!

How to arrange transfer from the bus station / train station / airport to the hotel?

Pretty easy - when booking a room or before arrival, let us know the time and place of arrival and we will be happy to arrange a transfer for you.

Is there a shopping center in Opatija?

There are only smaller boutiques in Opatija, and larger shopping centers are located in Rijeka: Robna kuća "RI" and "Korzo" in the pedestrian zone, the popular Rijeka Korzo, and ZTC and Tower center Rijeka.

Do you have a garage in hotel?

The hotel has two underground garages with separate entrances, as well as several outdoor parking spaces. Parking fee is included in a room rate.

Can I book a table for dinner?

2 to 4 people find enough tables to choose from at any given time - the tables are not reserved in advance. If you have dinner in the company of more than 4 people, please make an earlier announcement so that we can prepare a table for you.

Are there any smoking areas in hotel?

Since 2009, a general ban on smoking in all public places has been in force in Croatia. Smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms or in the interior of the hotel. Smoking is allowed on the outdoor terraces or balconies. In the restaurant, smoking is allowed only on fully open terraces - on a small terrace in the tower and a bar terrace.

What about food if I have an allergy or food intolerance?

When you arrive or book a room, let us know about your problem, whether it is an allergy or intolerance, our kitchen will prepare customized meals for you. For breakfast, choose from a wide range of gluten-free or lactose-free products. It is our goal, in accordance with your needs, to fulfill your wishes!

Do I have free Internet access in hotel?

You have free internet access in the hotel lobby and all hotel rooms. Also, there are two computers with an internet terminal in the hotel library. However, in order to provide a little pause from constant networking and telephone, we do not have wiFi enabled in the restaurant, bar, in the wellness and lawn area with deck chairs and on the beach.

If it rains, how do I get to the restaurant?

All hotel buildings are connected by an underground passage.  All rooms have an underground access to the reception, restaurant, wellness and garage. Seen when getting out of the elevator: the left always goes towards the reception, and the right towards the restaurant and wellness.

What are the sauna opening hours?

Persons over 16 years old are allowed in the saunas. Saunas are in daily use from 16:00 to 20:00, if desired also earlier, and on rainy days from 11:00. In case of questions or wishes, contact our wellness reception.

An infra-red sauna (above the freshwater pool) is at your disposal for an individual start from 07:00 to 21:00.

What are the opening hours for wellness and pools?

  • For therapies and treatments from 09: 00-19:00
  • Sea water pool from 06:00 to 21:00
  • Fresh water indoor pool 06: 00-21: 00
  • Gym & cardio 07: 00-21: 00

Has the hotel its own beach?

The hotel is sitated directly above a rocky beach. The beach is equipped with sunbeds and parasols available to hotel guests - use included in the room rate.

Does the hotel provide beach and pool towels?

You will find a bag with towels for the beach and pool in your room and you can change used towels at any time in the wellness area.

I would like to order flowers or some other gift, how can we arrange that?

Here in Miramar, everything is under the same motto: make our guests happy! We´ll be happy to organize any kind of suprise or gift for your loved ones! Contact the reservation or reception department by phone or e-mail, or in person if you are already at the hotel. Discretion and trust as well as compliance with all personal data protection regulations are implied.

Is there a laundry and ironing service at the hotel?

You can put your laundry for cleaning or ironing in the laundry bag provided in the room and inform the reception about your need and our household will pick up the laundry. The price list for washing and ironing you can find in the closet. We bring clean laundry back to the room within 24 hours and charge it to your room. Dry cleaning takes approximately 3 days as it is done outside the hotel.

Is there a hair salon in the hotel?

We don’t have a hair salon, but we will be happy to book an appointment at one of the nearby salons, just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Payment methods

We accept cash, as well as credit cards (Visu or Mastercard) and bank cards. Nevertheless, as we are in Croatia, we must charge your Credit Card with Croatian Kuna instead of EUR. Our currency rate is 1 EUR = 7.60 Kuna. During the exchange differences we reserve the right to change our constant exchange rate.

What time are the meals at the hotel?

  • Breakfast from 07:00 to 11:00
  • A la carte (snack, barbecue, cakes, ice cream, etc.) from 12:00 to 17:00
  • Half board gourmet dinner 18:00 to 21:30
  • The Habsburg bar and the terrace are open from 08:00 until 24:00

Can a wheelchair be used at the hotel? Are all the facilities accessible to people with disabilities?

There are stairs to cross everywhere in the hotel, including the underground passage - so it is impossible to reach any part of the hotel without obstacles. Even the descent to the Lungo mare in almost the entire city is via stairs - the whole city as well as the hotel is laid out terraced and quite inaccessible to people in wheelchairs as well as prams.
